Loch Ness is most famous for its monster, but recently it has played host to the UK’s hottest biking journalists as they joined Bridgestone for the launch of its Battlax BT-023 sport-touring tyre.
Journalists sang the praises of the new tyre saying “These are some of the best road legal tyres I’ve tried in the wet” (Adam Child, MCN) and “the BT-023 has raised the bar in the sport touring segment” (Emma Franklin, RiDE).
This summer, Bridgestone is planning an extensive advertising campaign across all of the major biking magazines for the BT-023, along with the BT-016 and Battlewing, driving consumers your way to make a purchase.

Bridgestone has strengthened its support for the Biker’s Club network of motorcycle tyre dealerships with the appointment of a new business development manager.
Neil Barrett is the new addition to the team and with more than 20 years experience in the motor and tyre trade, he brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge.
Neil will be working alongside sales manager Andy Whitehead, to support all dealers and to facilitate their business development through exciting promotions and a comprehensive training programme. The appointment is a significant investment by Bridgestone to further support and grow the Biker’s Club network.
Neil, who lives near Bristol, is a passionate biker and has had a keen interest in the motorcycle industry for the past 30 years. He bought his first motorbike 22 years ago – a Yamaha DT50 – very different to the Triumph ST 1050 Sprint he currently rides! |

Speaking about his appointment, Neil said:
“As an avid biker, I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work with market leaders Bridgestone and I look forward to working with all of the dealerships in the Biker’s Club network to help them grow their business. I shall also enjoy the challenge of recruiting new dealerships to Biker’s Club as we look to extend the network.”
Andy Dingley, advertising and Promotions manager, added:
“Here at Bridgestone, we are looking to develop a solid group of quality motorcycle tyre dealerships that make up our Biker’s Club network. We are excited to have Neil on the team to help us achieve our plans throughout 2010 and further into the future.” |
